How to tag and rename all the MP3 files?

Problem statement: You have a bunch of mp3 files that do not have any tagging information like artist, title, composer and etc. Even worse, the file name does not make any sense to you.  This post will show you address this issue.

-Download and install MusicBrainz Picard, a free software
-open the program and drag all the mp3 files, which  do not have any tagging info or have incorrect tagging info, into the program.
-click the scan button and let the program finds the tagging info for each mp3 file, make sure you select the unmatched files folder before you click on the scan button in order to scan all the files

-After the scanning is done, select all the items on the right panel and click the save button to save the tagging info and rename the files appropriately based on the renaming rules you have set in the program.

If  tagging info are correct but  the file names are somehow still not correct, you can download TagScanner program and use it to rename the files. This program has a much better interface to rename the files using the tagging info.

You can find the two programs above using Google.
